Proposition 65

Proposition 65 (“Prop 65”) is a California law that requires businesses to provide a warning before exposing individuals in California to any of 900-plus chemicals which the State believes could cause cancer or reproductive harm to humans in certain circumstances. If a product contains any of these chemicals, the warning label may be required.

Should I be concerned and why is Quantum Technologies, Inc. (dba Hear Technologies) including this warning?

The chemicals in products that require the Prop 65 warning can vary based on product type. For many of the chemicals on the State’s list, there are no significant risk levels that trigger the requirement for a warning.

The State of California has not provided comprehensive guidance as to when the warning is required in all circumstances. Therefore, to be cautious, Hear Technologies is placing a warning label on all products.
