Assign each knob of a PRO Mixer to any mono channel, stereo pair of channels, or even a submix of up to 16 channels with the V6 update. Configure each Mixer differently and add up to 128 input channels to the system using additional Input Cards and Hubs (32 channels of inputs per Hub).
This is it - the most comprehensive digital solution to get everyone the mix they need to perform their best. This new system platform is completely modular and infinitely expandable, which means it is the last personal monitoring system you’ll ever need.
Whether or not you've ever used a personal monitor mixer, the simple layout of this powerful system makes getting the right mix a quick and effortless experience. Based in Gigabit Ethernet, this framework paves the way for an impressive range of future possibilities.
The Hear Back PRO system consists of two main components: the Hub and the Mixer. The modular Hub consists of four card slots, which can be populated with any configuration of input and/or output cards to fit your exact needs. Each Hub has the ability to supply signal and power to as many as 32 Mixers (8 per Network Card), each over a single standard CAT6* cable. With the built-in HBUS In/ Out ports, multiple Hubs can be daisy-chained together, allowing for truly unlimited system expansion.
The Hear Back PRO system is available in a Four Pack plus an Overlay Upgrade, as well as offering Mixers and Hubs separately.
Provides the ability to connect MADI-based audio equipment to a Hear Back PRO Hub for personal monitor mixing or to the WSG Bridge as a conduit for Waves plugins and a bridge between MADI and the Waves SoundGrid or Dante protocols for multi-channel interfacing. Simultaneously transmits and receives 32 channels when used with the Hear Back PRO System or 64 channels when used with the WSG Bridge.
Can be utilized with the Hear Back PRO or WSG Bridge to provide 8 consecutive balanced channel outputs on a single DB25 connector.
Using a precision PLL circuit, the Word Clock Card automatically detects sampling rate and locks onto incoming word clock.
Allows HB PRO Hub to communicate with any professional analog audio equipment. Provides (8) balanced audio inputs using a standard Tascam DA-88-style pin-out on a DB25 connector. A DB25 to 1/4-inch TRS break-out cable is sold separately, unless the Analog input card is purchased as part of the Hear Back PRO Four Pack.
Allows HB PRO Hub to communicate with any audio equipment using Dante protocol.
Allows HB PRO Hub to
communicate with audio equipment via ADAT protocol.
Allows HB PRO Hub to communicate with any pro audio equipment that uses Waves SoundGrid. Our partnership with Waves makes it easy to directly connect the Hear Back PRO system to other high-end audio equipment (including directly out of a PC or Mac using only its Ethernet port).
Allows HB PRO Hub to communicate with pro audio equipment using multi-channel AES/EBU protocol.
Virtual Mixer I/O card for the HB PRO Hub boasts all the features of the HB PRO Mixer and is controlled via the new Hear Back PRO iOS app or another PRO Mixer. The Virtual Mixer card can also be used for talk back at a console.
Provides (8) RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports for connecting Hear Back PRO Mixers, PRO Mixer Distros, or other Hear Back PRO Hubs. Each port provides PoE+ power and digital audio over a single Cat6 Ethernet cable that can be run up to 566 feet.
Network Cards can be used with Hear Back PRO Hubs (up to 4 can be populated in a single Hub) or PRO Mixer Distros.

Cabling, Mixers and HBUS
CAT6*** cables used for Mixers or for HBUS can be run up to 500 feet in ideal conditions (one piece of solid conductor CAT6 with no breaks or couplings). The more breaks/connections/couplings in a cable run, the more limited this distance will be. Poor quality cabling will also limit the maximum distance.
Note: 0 dBu = 0.775 Vrms. Specifications and features subject to change without notice.
**Hub is capable of powering up to 32 Mixers with an additional power supply.
***Cable complying with the National authorities (cable with an outer jacket or sleeving rated VW-1 or better).
Control Hear Back PRO Mixers, simply by connecting your PRO Hub to a wireless network!
Keep your Hear Back PRO Mixers up to date with our PRO Firmware Updater software. Download and install the latest firmware with ease over a wired Ethernet connection, or by connecting your PRO Hub to a wireless access point.
For Mixers with Bootloader Version 2.24 or less, users will NOT be able to update the Mixer via the PRO Firmware Updater, but will need to purchase a Firmware Update Card from Hear Technologies. Please contact Technical Support. Refer to Hear Back PRO User Guide on how to check Firmware Version.
